Our Veterinarians

Tony Mosman has been at the Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital since 1976. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1971. At university he paid his way through University by playing bass guitar in a rock and roll band. He started practice in Cowra and West Wyalong and before heading off to a locum in the UK and work as a ski instructor in Austria. 

He has special interests in surgery, particularly orthopaedics and loves putting animals back together. He has AQIS and  PennHip Accreditation

He is a board member of the Guide Dogs Association of NSW/ACT. Dr Tony has been President of the Sydney Metropolitan Practitioners branch of the Australian Veterinary Association since 2004.

He has a cat” Kitty” who is possibly one of the most affectionate cats you will ever meet but you have to watch out for the dribbling if she is too contented.

“The joy of being in a veterinary general practice, particularly in Bondi Junction is that we see everything, all types of pets, wildlife and all manner of people. Every day brings something different, different problems to solve, interesting medical and surgical cases. Every animal is an individual and that is what makes it special”

Dr Julia graduated in 1979 and arrived at the Bondi Junction Veterinary Hospital in 1984. She has raised a family while working full time and been part of the local community particularly in relation to public education. At present she is on the NSW Division Committee of the Australian Veterinary Association .

Her special interests include medicine, soft tissue surgery, exotics and radiology.

She lives with two cats, “Tad” a domestic shorthair trapped under Sydney Hospital as a kitten and “Emilia” a very old brown Burmese cat.

Chris is a familiar face to many, being the star of the local TV series, The Bondi Vet. He graduated from Sydney University in 2001 and has practiced on the North Shore before. He loves being surrounded by animals, even when he is at home with his kelpie, Rusty.

As if being a Veterinarian and filming were not time-consuming enough to keep Chris busy, he can often be found catching waves at the beach and training to be a pilot.

Ray graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008 and has spent some time working in North-Western Sydney before moving to the eastern suburbs. Ray has a particular interest in soft-tissue surgery and animal welfare.

If Ray isn't at the vet hospital you are likely to find him knocking down pins at a bowling alley nearby.

Ray has an Eclectus Parrot name Horus, who is getting very close to speaking his first words and two Axolotl 's Alfred and Kiera.

Tina has a long history here at Bondi Junction Vet.

Tina first came here as a child with her family pets. As soon as she was old enough she offered up her time doing work experience feeding all the animals. Obviously making a great impression she was offered work as a kennel hand looking after all the animals in boarding and hospital.

By this time she had taken a great interest in animals and decided to enrol at Sydney University to study Veterinary Science. When she wasn't studying she spent her weekends and holidays working as a vet nurse and receptionist.

As a new graduate she was offered a job and has been with us ever since.
She knows the ins and outs of the hospital and from client to vet there isn't anything she hasn't done here.

Dr Matt is our resident Bondi Kiwi who has come to us after working for the RSPCA in Sydney’s west. He studied at the University of Sydney after a career as a secondary school biology teacher. Teaching teenagers was good practice for avoiding bites and scratches and now Matt thoroughly enjoys working with people to learn more about their pets.

Matt loves all animals, but has a special interest in cats, especially ginger ones. His current miniature tiger, Lilly, has an impressive array of tricks that she begrudgingly performs if the mood takes her.   

When Matt is not at work you will find him biking around Bondi on his way for a swim.
